Salary Sacrifice
Your rental payments
Your employer is the best person to speak to if you have questions regarding your payslips. Lots of factors can influence how much is deducted so they’ll have all the context to help.
Final rental fees
We’ll include any final rental, excess mileage or damage fees within the final invoice to your employer. Confirm with your employer how any final deductions for rentals, or payments owed for damages, charges or fees, will be handled.
You’ll be billed until your car has been collected or when your 30 days notice period ends, whichever is later.
If you’re on our salary sacrifice scheme, it's likely that your lease will have a £500 damage waiver included. Check your Driver Handbook to check your damage waiver cover and how your employer will recharge to you if the waiver is exceeded.
Reach out to your employer if you have any questions relating to how they will handle any final recharge payments with you.
Damage waiver
If your contract has a £500 damage waiver, this covers repairs up to that sum. If repairs cost over £500, you’ll be liable to pay the full amount (i.e. if the cost is £600, you’ll need to pay £600, not £100)
The damage waiver doesn't apply when you’re novating your contract, so the initial driver will need to pay for any damages
If you notice any damage during the time you have your car, please report it as soon as possible to the Driverline on: 020 3322 2601

What is the initial payment, and how does it work?
The initial payment isn’t a deposit - it is a one-off payment that lowers your monthly payments. Once that’s paid, your monthly payments are recalculated, meaning they’ll be a bit lower going forward.
You can choose to pay the equivalent of one, three, nine, or twelve months upfront. The more you pay at the start, the lower your monthly payments will be after that.
Monthly payments are taken on the 6th of the month following your delivery and are paid in advance. So, if your car is delivered on 5th September, your next monthly payment will come out on 6th October.
I paid the initial payment but the money hasn’t left my account yet
The way in which our payment provider, Stripe, sets up your Direct Debit means there is a gap between initiating the payment and when your initial payment is actually debited from your account. Sometimes it can take up to 10 day working days to be processed, depending on your bank account.
It’s important you pay your initial payment as soon as you’re ready. The initial payment must be completed for delivery to take place, so making it as soon as you can will prevent any delays with your delivery.
You’ll receive an email from Stripe confirming the exact day the initial payment will be debited from your account.
Can I pay the initial payment using a credit card?
We can’t accept credit cards for the initial payment. This must be paid via direct debit.
My payment failed, what should I do next?
If you’ve noticed a failed monthly payment, or we’ve been in touch about a failed payment, first of all don’t worry - we’re here to help.
Payments can fail for lots of different reasons, whether it’s a technical glitch or economic reasons. Depending on your circumstances, we can retry the payment through your existing Direct Debit, you can make a one-off payment, or you can get in touch with us to let us know what’s going on and how we can support you.
How can I change the bank account I pay from?
To change your bank account, simply log in to the Stripe portal and you can update your details from there.
How can I change the date I pay my Direct Debit on?
Our team can support you to work out the most suitable day of the month for your Direct Debit to be processed. Just get in touch with us to update your payment dates.
Why does Stripe show my monthly payment will be collected at a later date than my agreed collection date?
Stripe initiates the Direct Debit instruction to your bank on the date of your agreed collection date, which is usually 6th of each month. The process of actually collecting your monthly rental means the payment isn’t debited from your account for a few days.
You will receive an email from Stripe each month confirming when the payment will be debited.
What about final rental fees?
We’ll include any excess mileage or damage fees within your final lease payment. There is no damage waiver for Intelligent EV. You will be billed for any damage that’s outside of fair wear and tear.
You’ll be billed until your car has been collected.
