When will you get in touch about collection?
We really hope you loved driving your Octopus EV! As the registered owner of the car, Octopus Electric Vehicles will help organise its return at the end of your contract.
We’ll get in touch at the start of your final month to begin the process, unless you’ve requested an early return.
What do I need to do before collection of my car?
You can complete a self-inspection before collection, giving you the chance to address any damages beyond normal wear and tear. We’ll also inspect the car during collection. And then our partner company will do a secondary inspection post-collection.
We’ll send a breakdown of any damages beyond wear and tear within 28 days of collection.
Before your car is collected, please also make sure you remove all of your personal data from the car. Check out our removing personal data section to find out more.
How do I complete a self-inspection?
We’ll email you a link to complete an initial self-inspection using Wondle, a third party tool which lets you know if there's anything likely to be classed as damages outside Fair Wear and Tear. Get in touch with us if you think you haven't received access from us to Wondle.
Please note this tool is only to give a rough estimate of damage that might be chargeable so you have the opportunity to fix it before the vehicle is collected.
When will my car be collected?
We’ll collect your car either on the final day of your contract or on a suitable date beforehand.
The earliest we can collect your vehicle is 28 days before the natural end of your lease, or if you’re a salary sacrifice driver, your final day of employment if terminating your contract early
The collection company will be in touch to give you an hour’s warning so you know when to expect them.
If your vehicle is being collected in Northern Ireland it may take slightly longer to complete the appraisal due to the handover between our Northern Ireland logistics partner and our GH logistics partner.
